Volunteer with us
The Men’s Mind project is growing...
…and growing quicker than we can keep pace with. This is why we need your help. So if you have been thinking about volunteering, please get in contact and we can discuss with you how you can help and the difference you can make.
Volunteering is a great way of meeting and making new friends whilst making a difference.
Volunteering is a two-way process you need to decide if the organisation and the role is right for you as we need to decide if you are right for the role. It would be disappointing to go through all the hard work to get a volunteer role to then find out that’s not for you.
Volunteering offers vital help to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community, but the benefits can be even greater for you, the volunteer. The right match can help you to find friends, connect with the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career.
Giving to others can also help protect your mental and physical health. It can reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose.
While it’s true that the more you volunteer, the more benefits you’ll experience, volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day. Giving in even simple ways can help those in need and improve your health and happiness.
Administration & Bookkeeping / Accounts
We desperately need someone to help one of our Directors with admin and accounts. We are presently applying for full charity status and we are growing quicker than we can keep up with all aspects of admin. We are looking for someone with good Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. This position is open to anyone who can meet our requirements.
Events Organiser
Having previous experience of event organising would be an advantage, but being willing is far more important.
Working closely with our directors to deliver interesting and unique events to boost growth from existing and new events and to strengthen the brand and our reputation of the project as we make the move for full charity status.
Fundraiser
You will be someone who has experience in fundraising and grant funding. This is a particularly important role in ensuring we are able to gain funds to operate the project.
All roles can be shared by 2 or more people and geared to fit in with the time you have available to volunteer.
All positions (with the exception of the Monday Peer Support Group) are open to everyone over 18.
